Dobrina Pavlova and Ivan Tserovski join Georgiev, Todorov & Co. Law Offices
Dobrina Pavlova graduated with a Master’s degree in Law from the New Bulgarian University in 2009. She joined the team of Georgiev, Todorov & Co Law Offices in May 2020. Prior to that, Dobrina had experience as Head of the Energy and Capital Markets Department at another leading law firm. While working there, she is the main contact for clients operating in the field of trade and production of electricity, the lawyer responsible for all activities in the sector from construction and commissioning of energy facilities to licensing and registration of a regulated and free electricity market, as well as for balancing and stock trading.
Dobrina also has extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, representing both clients from the public sector and private companies from different industries. She has participated in numerous conferences and round tables with the Government and representatives of the European Union on various topics in the energy sector.
Attorney Dobrina Pavlova is recommended for her ‘diligence and precision’ and for her ‘excellent knowledge’ of licensing, contracts and trading procedures in the energy sector by the independent international legal publication Legal 500. She is also the contributor to the article “Liberalization of the Bulgarian Energy Market: Process in Progress” in the leading publication for Central and Eastern Europe – CEE Legal Matters.

Ivan Tserovski joined the team of Georgiev, Todorov & Co. Law Offices in June 2020. He graduated with a master’s degree in Law from the University of National and World Economy in 2003. Prior to that, he studied at a language high school majoring in Management and Marketing.
Ivan has extensive experience in leading Bulgarian and international companies, as well as in several state institutions, where he has provided legal services, drafted various types of documentation and has participated in evaluation commissions. He has also carried out ex-ante and ex-post controls in the field of public procurement under EU operational programs. He has provided legal advice on insurance contracts for Allianz Bulgaria and has drafted contracts for real estate transactions, including the purchase of land, retail sales of constructed sites, as well as notarial transfer of real estate to leading companies in the sector such as Home for You Ltd. and Forton International AD.
A key sector for him is energy as he develops his practice in the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) in carrying out procedural representation before court and in arbitration proceedings, drafting of legal opinions and documents, participation in expert working groups, preparation of draft penal decrees, etc. He held the positions of Chief Expert and Chief Legal Adviser and his specific knowledge in the field is highly valued by his clients and colleagues.
