A DANISH LAW FIRM WITH AN INTERNATIONAL OUTLOOK
Sønderby Legal was established on October 1, 2016, but despite the fact that we are thus a young firm, our attorneys have a collective experience of more than 75 years within the fields of the law in which we act.
We are 9 attorneys – whereof 5 are admitted to and regularly appear before the Danish Supreme Court – and 13 lawyers in total. Several of our attorneys are highly specialized. Our specialization includes EU law, which makes SØNDERBY LEGAL a mainstay at the courts of the European Union.
We have offices in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Randers.
We strive to remain at eye level with our clients as well as guarantee a high level of service second to none.
The pillar on Sønderby Legal is built is the shared determination of the four partners to open a window to the world. Thus, all four partners are working – each from his own angle – with international legal matters.
Over the years, we built up an extensive network of specialists not only in the EU member states, but throughout most of the world. They stand at disposal for us and our clients to ensure swift and effective execution of assignments.
EU law is a focal point for Sønderby Legal and since 2007 attorney Hans Sønderby Christensen has been a columnist with Jyllands-Posten, the Danish newspaper with the largest circulation, writing a bi-weekly full page article on current EU law for its Business & Economy section. This has contributed to establish that EU law is also an important and relevant part of the Danish system of justice.
