Ward Keller is a full service firm based in the Northern Territory of Australia with offices in Darwin and Alice Springs. Tracing its roots back to 1910 and maintaining the same name since 1963, it is the oldest and largest legal practice in the Northern Territory. The firm works with clients across the Northern Territory, Australia and overseas. It is broadly divided into two practice areas – commercial and litigation.
Ward Keller is focussed predominantly in the corporate sector and has been involved in providing legal advice on some of the biggest infrastructure projects in Australia including the Darwin to Alice Springs Railway, the Darwin to Bayu-Undan gas pipeline and LNG processing plant, as well as several mining exploration and extraction projects. The firm also has extensive experience in land access and development (including issues in Native Title), inbound foreign investment, revenue law (including stamp duty and pay-roll tax), business acquisitions and due-diligence, procurement and government tenders. In litigation, Ward Keller has expertise in commercial litigation, workers’ compensation, personal injuries, medical negligence and family law.
