Lorena Zuazo Villarroel has joined CPB Abogados as Senior Partner in the Mining Practice. This strategic addition marks a renewed commitment to the development of our mining law capabilities, aligned with the evolving needs of the extractive industry in Peru and the region.

Lorena brings over 20 years of experience advising national and international companies in mining and environmental regulatory matters, permitting, project development, community relations, due diligence, and mineral commercialization. Her background includes senior leadership roles in mining companies and active participation in academic and professional forums.

She holds a Master’s in Territorial Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona, an MBA in Mining Management from UCAM (Spain), and has completed a Master’s in Senior Management at the Complutense University of Madrid. She also holds multiple diplomas in environmental and mining engineering, open-pit mine planning, occupational health, and environmental systems.

Lorena is an active member of the Peruvian Institute of Mining EngineersWomen in Mining Peru, and serves as an arbitrator for several arbitration centers in Peru.
