  • Andrew Tenzer, a partner in Nutter’s Corporate and Transactions Department and a member of the Bankruptcy, Restructuring and Workout practice group, wrote an analysis of a Delaware decision in Pratt’s Journal of Bankruptcy Law. Tom Rosedale, chair of Nutter’s Corporate Department, Eric Magnuson, a partner in the Litigation Department and co-chair of the firm’s Business Litigation group, and Mike Leard, a partner in the Litigation Department, were selected in the inaugural edition of Legal 500’s Boston City Elite. Sarah Kelly Selected as a 2025 Go To Construction Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly
Sarah Kelly, a partner in Nutter’s Litigation Department and co-chair of the firm’s Business Litigation practice group, was named a 2025 Go To Construction Lawyer by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The article praised Sarah as “a responsive and diligent advisor who grasps the issues quickly and provides solid guidance and out-of-the-box strategies.” The Go To Lawyers honor recognizes top lawyers across Massachusetts who are considered leaders in their field. The featured attorneys were nominated by colleagues and chosen by a panel from Lawyers Weekly.

Nutter Securities Enforcement Practice Achieves Trial Win against SEC for Financial Advisory Firm Cutter Financial Group
A Nutter trial team received a jury verdict in their favor for Nutter’s client, Cutter Financial Group LLC (CFG), in a civil litigation trial with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The jury found that CFG and its president and founder, Jeffrey Cutter, did not engage in any intentional fraudulent scheme and found that CFG adopted and implemented reasonable compliance policies and procedures. While CFG disclosed that it received commissions from insurance companies, the jury found CFG negligent in not also disclosing the specific upfront amount of those commissions for a limited number of clients.
