International Legal Network Elects Officers

Fort Collins, Colorado, USA (10 November 2021) – Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW) re-elected Danish lawyer Anders Stoltenberg to a second two-year term as treasurer and Scottish lawyer Jennifer Young to her first two-year term as secretary of the Executive Committee for the international legal network. The election was held at the 2021 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 28 October 2021. LAW wishes to express a fond farewell and its sincere gratitude and best wishes to Canadian lawyer Celso Boscariol, QC who completed his second two-year term as secretary.  LAW also expresses best wishes and gratitude from other departing Executive Committee members: Costa Rican lawyer Alejandro Batalla, American lawyer Kelly Twiss Noonan, and Chinese lawyer Frank (Yijun) Mao concluded their second two-year terms on the Executive Committee as regional representatives in their respective regions at of the conclusion of the 2021 AGM. All four of these members and dear friends have dedicated countless hours and offered up brilliant ideas and service to LAW.  We look forward to their continued involvement with the organization.  LAW is a global association of 100 independent law firms located in over 50 countries. With access to 4,500 lawyers worldwide, membership in LAW allows member firms to service the legal needs of clients that are expanding their operations and relationships into new domestic and foreign markets.

Mr. Stoltenberg is partner at the law firm of Sønderby Legal P/S in Copenhagen, Denmark. He focuses his practice on real estate and contract, but also with business advice for small and medium-sized companies. A special area of expertise is legal advice to farmers and agri-businesses. Mr. Stoltenberg is appointed as lay judge at the Housing Tribunals at the City Courts of Copenhagen, Næstved, and Nykøbing Falster.

Ms. Young is partner at the law firm of Ledingham Chalmers LLP in Aberdeen, Scotland. She previously served on the LAW Executive Committee as regional representative for the Europe, Africa, and Middle East region. Ms. Young focuses her practice on construction law and has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a construction law specialist for over 15 years.  She is a vice chair of CBI Scotland and a member of YPO and also the current convenor of the Law Society of Scotland’s construction law accreditation panel.  Ms. Young serves as managing partner of her firm.  Both Mr. Stoltenberg’s and Ms. Young’s current terms will run until the conclusion of the LAW Annual General Meeting in 2023.
