Equity partner, David Kerr, of Berg Hill Greenleaf Ruscitti LLP, found himself in a relatable situation about 10 years ago – in the midst of a great depression. David applied to every firm with an intellectual property practice group in the western United States – landing only one lead in Fort Collins, CO. Having a wife and two kids, Kerr’s back up plan was to work at Home Depot moving pallets at night. All this to say, Kerr, who also leads the firm’s law clerk hiring committee, is able to empathize with our state’s current graduates as they prepare for the bar exam and continue their hunt for a career in law.
