KUALA LUMPUR (March 27, 2023) – Tay & Partners is pleased to announce that Kim Poh Ng will be joining them as one of their Intellectual Property (IP) partners effective immediately.

Prior to joining Tay & Partners, Ng practised at a prominent law firm with international affiliations as a Partner in its Intellectual Property, Sports & Gaming.

Ng is recognised by Legal 500 Asia Pacific as a Leading Individual in Intellectual Property (2020 -2023) and is also a recommended expert by the World Trademark Review (WTR 1000) for his work in enforcement and litigation, prosecution and strategy, and transactions (2020-2023). Ng is also listed in Intellectual Property by Chambers & Partners Asia-Pacific Guide as a Ranked Individual (Band 3) in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

He frequently appears before the High Court for IP cases and has appeared before the Court of Appeal and Federal Court in several IP cases, either as lead counsel or junior counsel, including a few which culminated in landmark decisions.

Ng has vast experience in a diverse range of contentious and non-contentious IP matters including trademarks, industrial designs, patents, copyright, breach of confidential information, domain name disputes as well as franchising.

Ng was a frequent co-author of articles published by the International Law Office (ILO) on legal updates in the area of intellectual property in Malaysia and a contributor to the IP weblog, The IPKat.
